I have the impression of a loudspeaker that has been sighed by half of the audiophile world.
These are one of those loudspeakers that have such a reputation that even if they are badly put together and not playing very well … they play because … they are mini utopias.
Wojtek from Drezdenko recommended them to me.
Well, when they appeared … and I just had a loose budget, I bought it.

JM Lab Mini Utopia – Sound
Fast, pieruny transparent for the track. Quite colorful, open. Effective.
The diameter is really good, very nice space.
I tested them with Haiku Sensei 300B, Gato AMP-150, Haiku Iovita MK2 in the class and a few other stoves. With Lumin D2 and a very well done vinyl track that played 2-3 classes better than Lumina D2.
Unfortunately, as if I was not carving and combining these loudspeakers, there was no weighting, mass in the game, low bass in my 20 sq m.
They shouted ‘give me a sub’.
These are really very good loudspeakers, blindly, you can say that better than 95% of store monitors to PLN 50,000, and maybe even higher.
However, you have to be aware that it will be difficult to make them sound quiet, they will never have a nice low bass.
Their open and quite vibrant nature at the top requires a lot of skills in compiling – the right source, cables and electronics – because the mountain will be insistent.
While I dealt with the top quite quickly, it was difficult to squeeze the sound I like in my 20 sq m.
In addition, their character of playing actually condemns to a room with any acoustic adaptation.
Summation
It was a long time ago, so I won’t try to make any long papers.
Generally, the higher the expectations … then it is often more disappointment. Honestly? I don’t understand the phenomenon of the mini utopia in the secondary market.
These are very demanding loudspeakers when it comes to compiling the system, with which it will be difficult to deal with without a large number of ‘clams’.
If someone is ‘kumaty’ and well equipped with such gadgets, they will surely squeeze a lot of good out of them.
For me personally, they turned out to be much more interestingDuntech Esquire D100which are nearly 2x cheaper than the Mini Utopia.
Without hesitation, I would choose any Living Voice or JM Lab Spectral 913.1 – although it is of course a slightly different character. Nevertheless, I consider all of the above to be more complete.
I’m not an expert on monitors – I just prefer floor heating and larger pickups.
In defense of them, however, I will say that they played much better and in a different league than the great JM Lab Electra 920.1.
Plus for execution. I do not know how much you have to pay for the loudspeakers today for the manufacturer to put so much quality material in them. Alternatives up to 50k can be found only in manufactories with direct sales.
I would also like to add that I have never deleted the loudspeakers as quickly as a mini utopia, and the only disappointing for me was the purchaseLine Magnetic.
Nevertheless … I have no doubts that in Wojtek in a small room in the attic, with his experience – we managed to squeeze out something special. From what I remember with Leben CS-300XS. I feel like it could be good with some Jadis amplifier. Quite strong and slightly insulated Gato AMP150 was absolutely not enough.
