At this point, I try to describe raisins and interesting things, and my nose told me that it can be a very good and interesting column. Strongly niche – exactly what I like.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I was supposed to contact one of the stores for an audition, but as there was no time – the case was delayed. One morning I saw an e-mail with a proposal from Bartek – a man from DNA audio to do something together in the context of audio-architect.eu … I didn’t have to persuade me: so we start with the source – this place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like openness on the other side. I like to feel passion, flexibility and openness – I felt all these features in my adversary immediately. Less than a week later, Atalante was already in my living room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atalante 5 – first approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To my surprise, the parcels came to me in the floor version and the warning light came on. The first listening sessions were generally not crazy and I was already looking for something that I could put them on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t have to be as elegant as the editor of WStereo (which I still like to read, although I feel a bit sorry for him when I see it when I exercise, trying to use my common sense by reviewing some blocks).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me – they were playing on the floor. The whole thing was quite sticky, and the bass was terrible – to the extent that I wanted to borrow a source for Saber, which I can’t digest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember, however, that you are reading a heretic without acoustic panels, which everyone certainly has in their living room, so my opinion is naturally worth shit for the nameless audiophile \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from this digression – so I asked to send stands because I have tried playing from the soil many times and I know that many people do not see (or rather hear) nothing wrong with that. For me – even though I don’t have acoustics done (or maybe that’s why ?!) It doesn’t work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was so bad that 2 bystanders asked me to plug inFL9<\/a>which played much more lively, faster and more charming (the column from the beginning of the 1900s; 3 roads and before inflation cost similar money to Audio Revival today).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atalante 5 – second approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Stands have arrived, Christmas and New Year have passed, I caught a little appetite for audio again and started the next listening sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the stands, virtually any amplifier got very good right away – the tonal balance began to be 'right’, the bass accelerated, the top opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pier Audio, Yaqin MC-100B, Haiku Sol I, Phast Anniversary, Atoll In200 and, of course, the reliable, reference Audion Silver Night MK2 have entered the tests.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actually, with every taste in this setting, they sounded OK and did not require great correction with some cables or lamps. I would probably mix more set under myself, but on this track I have already listened to so many speakers that it is quite easy to catch what is from Atalante and what is not. What appears and what disappears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short, feel what they really are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the columns next to it I had mentionedFL9<\/a>, Harbeth Compact 7<\/a>, Tannoy Glenair 10<\/a>, a moment earlier in this set were hostedLiving Voice Avatar R4<\/a>– So we have quite a strong representation straight from the UK, i.e. a game focused on a very good center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audio Revival Atalante 5<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In fact, most of the electronics fared well, or actually very good –As befits a column with 2 domes – space, selectivity in the midrange is always great.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, for actually most loudspeakers with a wide front and large bass – we have tangibility and nice acoustic pressure almost from the very beginning (read from low volume). Unfortunately, not every amplifier ensures this – which was confirmed by the listening session, for example, with the 100W Ayon Spirit 3 on KT150.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, I believe that in order to get the full potential of them – they should be treateda good triode<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And here the real fun begins, because not every good triode will play well with any loudspeakers, but if we find loudspeakers that play well with a good triode, we are very close to the sound nirvana.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

With myAudion Silver Nightparallel se<\/span>mk2<\/strong>(18W) Everything is playing better, but only a few columns have it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atalante have it<\/strong>. I would say it is slightly smoky. audible, but not playing the first violin. The first fiddle is reserved for the diameter, but it is not a thrust characteristic of the columns with the UK family (pleasant, often very effective, but often also tiring)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revivale is a very nice way to balance between intimacy and distance. They can engage, but they do not impose themselves. They don’t go forward as much as Harbethy or Tannoye – they play with a much bigger class, stretching the sound from below.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In Harbs you can feel a compromise, the sound for such small packages is really fascinating and dynamic, but here we go higher in class. Feel much more potential and seriousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such a large transducer driven by a good stove is practically a guarantee of a better bass than with 95% narrow bars. It was no different here and it was a good place to refer to the other – previously mentioned speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atalente 5 vs. Other columns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Atalante, thanks to the large kennel and the large bass player at the start, have one big plus: they do not have to cheat physics. You can feel it and you can’t jump over it. Maybe one column in 100 can hide a small size under a brilliant structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Living Voice Avatar R4<\/strong>(about PLN 35,000) they play at the bottom faster, more agile and a bit more contour. But …. they lack this seriousness, scale and freedom from the low volume levels that Atalante provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we are at LV, their playing goes a bit higher. slightly neutral. Atalante is more pastels, slightly smoked at the top (on the same set, which was actually on point for LV)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This sound is much darker and fuller than the bottomtannoy<\/a>, from Glenair also more detailed and definitely with a deeper stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also consider Atalanta to be more interesting and more potential columns than similarly priced Harbeth 7 or 30.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would also be appropriate to mentionAudiophase Flow<\/a>because it is a similar budget (PLN 20,000) and also 3 roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flows are loudspeakers much more versatile. They’re better at techniawce, rock. They also play in class, but a bit more party-like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I just realized that I wrote stupid, but having flow after the post, I wanted them to amused me with stronger music … hence it may be a bit unfortunate expression \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I remember that the flow has a similarly smoky hill, a slightly less tasteful diameter. Although this one is really very good in them, the Revivale with a lamp can show a little more charm – I throw it on a dome on the diameter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Atalante 5 – opinion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I like Atalante 5 very much. Do you know why?Because when dealing with such a column, knowing their price, you just … don’t feel fucked.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They look absolutely insane, the logotype on the stands or the front, the shape, the height – everything is buttoned up recently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the amount of about PLN 20,000 at today’s prices of materials and labor, I consider it a really huge art to make such a product – which is not a shame to put it in a new home and which still plays very well.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

He also plays very wellSE lamp<\/strong>, and when we hit such a column, you can assemble a set that is very nice and stylish looking, which costs less than PLN 100,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
