I have been hunting this audio note for years, but usually when it appeared on the market in good money, I simply did not have a budget. It’s hard to find any negative opinions about it. Initially, I was only worried about 10W because I was afraid of how it would handle my speakers at the time, but we’ll get to that later.
And the class, EL84 – probably the most musical lamps I know, topology se – and it turns out that, just like in life – the simpler the better.
Here it is available in the LINE and PHONO MM versions. The phono amplifier is very good. Not sensational, but better than most devices on the market for 3-4k PLN.
In combination with SUT, we can also use MC inserts and then even with a 5-6K budget on the secondary market, it may be difficult to break this connection.

This is, of course, not an ideal amplifier. 10W theoretically limits the selection of speakers quite strongly, it is also not the most transparent and precise device I know …
But what if it’s an extremely musical amplifier.
First of all, with a mega vein to play, with a nice springy bass, secondly, with a very nice full color in the midrange. Thirdly, it is open, the game is spatially, but not glamorous, it is a bit warmed, but not drenched.
In fact, from the very first moments, I liked him terribly, even though there were triodes in my house earlier845, 805, 300B, 211, or devilsinSingle Ended, so the constructions are much more respected in the audiophile world.
The midrange has a lot of this sophistication, malśnień, and flavors on vocals and instruments, but it does not sound rachitic, thin, light. It is full, fleshy, but at the same time natural and pleasant to the ear.
The double bass works like a spring, the plates are heard well, the space is good. Great vocals – women’s shine and life, and men’s seriousness, hoarseness and mass.

Here it was at least very good in each of the lists. Even with power kefami. It just sounded well with some speakers, and with some of the wider range of the potentiometer.
Therefore, in combination with Tannoy, Cannabis, Cabass, Living Voice or Snell, i.e. loudspeakers with high efficiency and friendly impedance, you can talk about a really high synergy. Especially the juxtaposition with Snells sounded phenomenal – color, energy and emotions were radiating from this combination.
Audio Note Here – my opinion
The only drawback is power. There is quite a lot of it to play more lively than more than one 30W tube, but not enough to fill larger rooms with sound, or to drive and keep the reins, impedance loudspeakers at a normal volume level.
Besides, it is so good, so musical that by hitting it too quickly, it may seem to us that there is still a lot ahead of us, since such a cheap, basic 10W model plays so. Just buy a triode set or something stronger and it will be better …
… well, not. Triodes sound slimmer, have more contour and a thin line, but none of them have a sweet color that is so pleasant to the ear.
Hardly any, apart from larger lamps like 211/845, has such a nice basik. And certainly no one in SE – at least one of the ones I know, there is so much nice meat in the midrange and such a nice dynamics combined with a nice mass. Finally, they are not so friendly to records and all kinds of music. It is great with quiet listening, and made to listen at medium / normal volume. The louder it is – the worse and the greater the distortions.
However, I have no doubts that for such money – i.e. 7-12k on the secondary market (depending on the line / phono version or the P1 ending), it is difficult to find something equally universal andlamplyplaying.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that this model comes in the form of a P1 power amplifier, as well as the versionsignatureWith higher-class components, it gets more expensive there, but it’s still worth it because the sound is even better.
I believe that every fan of tube sound should try it sometime. It may not turn the world upside down, but it will certainly remind you of what this game is about – about music and entertainment.
